ok. . . so it's going to be a tough one. Feels like I'm in labour - although I've never been in labour.
It feels horrible.
Reminds me of something my father used to say:
That's the only good thing about hitting yourself in the head with a hammer.and to the inevitable question: "What is?" he'd say:
It feels so good when you stop.What a strange thing to say, don't you think? Wonder where he got it?
I do know the goodness of 'pain stopped', though. sigh
When I found this picture I decided to check what the book of James might have for me. There is no James 13, so I looked up James 1:3 and found (coming from verse 12 before):
Consider it pure joy whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.Great. Perseverence.
Right. That's what I need.
